Resonate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by a student musician, for student musicians. The mission? To inspire future generations of musicians by bringing high quality musical performances and inspiration to rural schools. This is done through Inspire Performances, where a featured chamber ensemble composed of select collegiate and local musicians travel to a small school and perform. What elevates these performances and makes them truly special, however, is the open discussion afterwards. The performers uniquely focus on explaining how they interpreted the pieces they just played, their creative thought process, and specific techniques students can apply to their own music long after the concert ends.
117 inspired musicians and 3 rural towns later, Resonate is growing a musical legacy. 1 in 2 students were inspired to be more musically involved outside of class after just ONE Inspire Performance. To learn more about Resonate or have Resonate perform for your school, please visit: resonatetoday.org or @todayresonate on Facebook.
